As part of its 40th anniversary celebrations, the Roncalli International Foundation partnered with Novalis to publish the book Profession : missionnaire. The book presents the touching testimonials of 16 missionaries close to the Foundation
All driven by an undeniable will to help others, they recount their inspiring life journey, often strewn with pitfalls, that bears witness to their commitment towards the poorest of our world, as well as the remarkable support of the Roncalli International Foundation in accomplishing their work.
“I want to nurture the hope for a better world, a more just society, better possibilities for everyone. I like to believe that one day we will be more aware that that we are all interconnected and our decisions have an impact on the lives of other,” recounts Sr. Lorraine Costello of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame (above) in her testimonial. She lived and worked in Guatemala and Honduras for 18 years.
You can also watch four videos that offer reflections from Sister Claudette Vermette and Sister Lucille Forget, both of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles, and Michel Guillemette and André Franche, both lay missionaries, all of whom are featuresd in the book. You can watch the videos here: www.roncalli.ca/en/Publications-en#Videos
